Diploma in Business | Year 1

NCC Diploma in Business | MQF Level 5

About

The Level 4 Diploma in Business (DBYear1) is provided in conjunction with NCC Education and is equivalent to the first year of a BSc(Hons) UK degree. The programme exposes students to many different aspects of international business in today’s world. Students who embark on this programme are exposed to both academic and vocational aspects of a wide range of subjects, providing students with the necessary knowledge and skills vital for a career in business or to further their studies.

This qualification is ideal for Sixth form students and school leavers who have obtained the matriculation certificate. It is also suitable for mature students who are currently employed and wish to change their career or enhance their business skills. In the case of mature students, work experience and qualifications other than O' and A' levels are taken into consideration.

The Level 4 Diploma in Business is offered on both full and part time evening basis. Students are given access to studying and reading material. Assessments are provided and corrected by NCC Education and consist of a number of examinations and assignments.

Students who successfully complete this qualification gain access to the next step within the degree pathway, the Level 5 Diploma In Business.

High quality undergraduate education is of central importance to a number of objectives: an ever more highly skilled workforce and the development of new fields of study and specialisation. It is a key to Malta’s economic and social progress, and is essential to many people's continuing professional development.

The Maltese Government believes that students may find valid learning pathways in degree courses / programmes that are provided, either through foreign higher education institutions or through recognised private higher education institutions in Malta.

The Malta Government Undergraduate Scheme 2015 aims at providing more opportunities to further the choice of undergraduate degrees/qualifications up to MQF Level 6 and including Bachelor Degrees and vocational qualifications, classified as Level 6 or equivalent under the Malta Qualification Framework (MQF).

Through this scheme Government is extending the financial support available to undergraduate students at the University of Malta and MCAST, to other Maltese students undertaking equivalent studies, at other institutions, leading to officially recognised local and foreign MQF Level 6 qualification.
